What CQC Means for Our Clients: Understanding Our CQC Rating

What CQC Means for Our Clients

What is the CQC?

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator for health and social care services in England. Their job is to inspect, rate, and regulate care providers to make sure people are receiving safe, effective, compassionate care.

They don’t take shortcuts – and neither do we.

What Does a ‘GOOD’ Rating Mean?

TRZ Care is proud to be rated GOOD by the CQC. That means we meet high standards in all the key areas they inspect:

  • Safe :  Are clients protected from harm or abuse?
  • Effective: Do our care plans meet real health needs?
  • Caring: Do staff treat people with respect, kindness, and dignity?
  • Responsive: Are we meeting the specific needs of each client?
  • Well-led: Is our leadership strong, transparent, focused on quality?

These are not just boxes we tick. This is how we work – every day.

What It Means for You or Your Loved One

  1. You’re in safe hands. Our team is trained, vetted, and regularly reviewed.
  2. You’ll be heard. We tailor our care plans to fit real lives, not one-size-fits-all models.
  3. You can trust us. CQC says our leadership is effective – and that trust starts at the top.

As the inspection report notes:

“People were treated with kindness and compassion. Staff had time to engage meaningfully with people.”

That’s the standard we keep. Not because we’re being watched – but because it’s the right thing to do.

How We Keep It Up

We review our processes constantly. We train our staff beyond the minimum. We hold ourselves accountable through internal audits and family feedback.

Led by our Registered Manager, Cynthia Mbata, we treat care as a personal promise, not a checklist.
